Frequently Asked Questions:
Q:
Will Accu-Grind design cutting tools from my part drawings?
A:
Yes, Accu-Grind is in it's third decade of producing cutting tool designs for all industries.
Q:
If I need tools modified by Accu-Grind, will you work with tools manufactured by other cutting tool vendors?
A:
ABSOLUTELY! We would prefer to manufacture the tool complete ... or use one of our preferred suppliers, however, we will
work with most tools that are manufactured in a quality manner by other manufactures.
Q:
Does Accu-Grind offer emergency & expedited service when we are in trouble AND need to have a custom tool made in a
hurry?
A:
YES! We can meet most reasonable requests in as little as 24 hours, however, this is dependent on material availability and
the complexity of the tool.
Q:
Can Accu-Grind meet our difficult quality standards?
A:
Our standards often exceed those standards and initiatives that are in place today, including most ISO standards.
Q:
I need a special coating or surface treatment on my custom cutting tools, will Accu-Grind provide this service for me?
A:
YES! We have strategic alliances with several suppliers of custom coating all over the Northeast. We can also drop ship
directly to the supplier of your choice.
Q:
I have some very difficult material to cut, how will Accu-Grind assist me with a design that will perform well in this material?
A:
Although some materials can be extremely difficult to machine, we have many years of experience designing tools specifically
for today's most difficult "Super Alloys," and can offer suggestions of speeds & feeds ... along with custom cutting geometries
& coatings.
Q:
I see that Accu-Grind caters to the smaller orders, will you quote a large production order of hundreds of tools or more?
A:
Accu-Grind is constantly growing to accommodate our increasing customer base; we can take on those larger orders. Your
production order will be treated with the same quality and attention that our custom orders receive.
Q:
Will Accu-Grind stock tools that we order at regular intervals?
A:
Yes—as long as it's a tool that we have made for you in the past—there is a good chance that we have at least one on the
shelf that was made as an "Intentional overrun."
